A BESS receives energy, stores it and delivers it later to the client's installation or the grid. At industrial scale, the solution includes batteries, power conversion, controls, protection, grid connection, civil works and a long-term operating plan.

The planned standard configuration for Nectaria's programme is 10 MWh storage capacity / 5 MW target grid export power, with a nominal duration of two hours. Site suitability and final export capacity depend on site and grid studies, technical connection approval (ATR) and applicable approvals.

Storage sized around demand

For factories, industrial buildings and sites with variable loads, our analysis starts with the consumption profile, approved connection capacity, critical processes and on-site generation. We assess uses such as peak shaving, increased self-consumption and continuity of supply for defined circuits.

Site owners

Feasibility starts with the land and grid connection

We review the site's legal and technical status, access, proximity to electrical infrastructure, known restrictions and a possible grid connection route. A preliminary assessment does not constitute a contractual commitment.

Nectaria is seeking investors and strategic partners for its development programme. The target is a portfolio of 25 projects in Romania; these are not 25 projects already built, permitted or connected to the grid.

Once an opportunity has been qualified, Nectaria and its partner agree each party's contribution, responsibilities, project structure and decision stages bilaterally.

Development and delivery on the client's site

The client proposes a suitable site of their own and fully funds the investment. Nectaria develops and delivers the project within the agreed technical and contractual scope, after the land, grid connection and permitting have been assessed.

Project origination and development

We establish the objectives, site information or consumption profile and the project's initial assumptions.

Design and grid connection

We define the electrical architecture and progress the grid connection solution, technical connection approval (ATR) and applicable technical documentation.

Supply and integration

We coordinate batteries, power conversion (PCS), energy management (EMS), protection, transformers and manufacturers' communication requirements.

Installation and EPC

We coordinate civil and electrical works, logistics, installation and interfaces between the project's equipment. EPC covers engineering, procurement and construction.

Commissioning

We carry out inspections, functional tests, configuration and a documented handover of the installation.

Operation and maintenance

Technical operation, monitoring and maintenance services are defined in the project's final contracts.

What needs to be confirmed before a decision

A project remains conditional until grid connection, permitting, equipment and documentation have been verified.

Available capacity, the technical solution, timing and grid connection costs can change the project's configuration.

Consents and permits

Planning, environmental, fire safety and other applicable approvals are checked for each site.

Site

Access, topography, ground conditions, easements, safety distances and legal status must be documented.

Manufacturers and integration

The configuration depends on firm quotations, warranties, performance and integration requirements confirmed by the equipment manufacturers.

What is a BESS?+

Have the 25 projects already been built or permitted?+

No. The 25 projects are the target of Nectaria's development programme in Romania. Each opportunity undergoes its own technical, legal and commercial assessment.

Route 1 is a co-investment and co-development partnership, with contributions and project structure agreed bilaterally after qualification. Route 2 involves Nectaria developing and delivering a project for a client who fully funds the investment on a suitable site of their own.
