Final guide · 14 September 2026
  • AFM funding: up to 75% of the total project cost and up to RON 15,000 including VAT, exclusively for eligible expenditure. The eligible cost standard is capped at RON 1,500/kWh.
  • A storage system of at least 10 kWh. Battery purchase, installation and commissioning are eligible within the guide's limits, only after AFM funding approval.
  • A compatible hybrid inverter is required. Its purchase, installation and commissioning are ineligible and must be paid in full by the beneficiary.
  • AFM sets and announces the timetable. We accept preliminary enquiries exclusively in Alba, Cluj and Hunedoara; Nectaria's form is not an AFM application and does not guarantee funding.
Scoring · Article 19

The approved assessment framework

Up to 100 points. Ties are resolved by own contribution, storage capacity, then the date and time of the AFM application.

up to 50 points
own contribution

30 × own contribution / AFM funding, capped at 50. For example, a RON 5,000 contribution and RON 15,000 grant earn 10 points. The contribution also includes ineligible expenditure needed for the project.

up to 50 points
storage capacity

2.5 points per kWh: 10 kWh = 25 points; 20 kWh = 50. Storage above 20 kWh earns no additional points. The total also depends on the contribution; funding is not guaranteed.

Casa Verde calculator · final guide

Enter the costs from your quotation. We calculate the maximum funding allowed by the caps and the score for that scenario. The result is not a Nectaria offer, AFM approval or funding guarantee.

Enter a capacity of at least 10 kWh and both cost figures. Storage cost must be positive; ineligible costs may be zero. A cost breakdown is needed to estimate the grant.

Funding = the lowest of 75% of total project cost, RON 15,000 and eligible expenditure capped at RON 1,500/kWh. All figures include VAT. The balance is your own contribution; the inverter is paid entirely by the beneficiary.

Contribution score = min(50, 30 × own contribution / AFM funding). Storage score = min(50, 2.5 × kWh). At 20 kWh, only the storage score reaches its cap; this does not guarantee 100 points or funding.

Articles 5, 6, 7 and 19: only expenditure incurred after AFM approval is eligible. Selection depends on scores, eligibility and the session budget. AFM determines the approved amount.

Preparation

Three useful checks to make now

A suitable solution starts with your existing system and how you actually use electricity.

01

Document your existing system

Note the inverter model and power, installed PV capacity, connection type and existing protection equipment.

02

Gather consumption data

Bills and your consumption profile help estimate how much energy the battery should shift from daytime to evening.

03

Check the backup design

A battery does not automatically keep your home powered during a grid outage. The inverters, distribution board and priority circuits need to be assessed together.

Preliminary registration of interest

Installation location guide

Where we install the inverter and battery?

Five hypothetical scenarios show how inverter, battery and main distribution board locations affect cable routes. These are educational examples, not completed installations.

  1. 01

    Utility room

Battery to inverter ≈ 1.5 m; inverter to board ≈ 2 m. Cable runs remain short; the PV cable route is checked separately.

  2. 02

    Together in the garage

Battery to inverter ≈ 1 m; board ≈ 10–20 m away. The longer runs are on the AC circuits and meter communication cable.

  3. 03

    Inverter outside, battery inside

Battery to inverter ≈ 4–5 m; board ≈ 3 m away. Wall penetrations and cable extensions require checks for the exact model.

  4. 04

    All in separate locations

Battery to inverter ≈ 5 m; inverter to board ≈ 20 m. Longer cable runs, more wall penetrations and adaptations; each circuit is assessed separately.

  5. 05

Moving the inverter beside the battery

The battery cable run falls from ≈ 10 m to ≈ 1.5 m; the board remains ≈ 15 m away. Circuits and the PV cable route must be recalculated.

The figures in the article are materials-only examples, excluding labour and protection equipment, based on observations from 14 September 2026. They are not Nectaria prices, firm quotations, AFM contributions or eligible costs. The final quotation follows an on-site assessment. Equipment location does not guarantee eligibility or whole-home backup.

FAQ

Programme and battery questions

The final guide's conditions and the technical checks needed for your project.

Which inverter and battery brands does Nectaria offer?+

Our main inverter brands are Hinen, Deye, Solis and Solplanet. We select the model based on the grid connection, PV array power, compatible battery and required backup functions. Our storage options include Hinen, Deye and Dyness. Depending on the project, our full portfolio also includes Fronius, Huawei, Victron, BYD and Solplanet batteries.

What warranty does Nectaria offer on inverters and batteries?+

As part of Nectaria's standard offer: a 10-year warranty on selected Hinen, Deye and Solis inverters and Hinen, Deye and Dyness batteries, per the warranty certificate of the delivered model. Installation, connection and operating conditions, together with performance limits, must be checked in the certificate. For Solplanet, the term is confirmed in the offer and certificate for the selected model.

What do Tier 1 and 3rd place mean for Solis?+

Solis is included in BloombergNEF's Tier 1 list, according to the manufacturer's Q1 2025 announcement. Globally, Solis ranked 3rd by PV inverter shipments in 2024, according to Wood Mackenzie's market share report. Third place refers to 2024 shipments, not a general quality ranking or all subsequent rankings.

Does the 10-year warranty automatically cover the stated battery cycle count?+

Declared technical cycle life: Hinen B8900M-HA — 8,000 cycles; Deye SE-G5.1 Pro-B — ≥6,000; Dyness PowerBrick 14.336 kWh — ≥8,000. These figures depend on the model and test conditions; they are not a cycle count guaranteed by the 10-year warranty. The performance warranty may have total energy throughput and remaining-capacity limits, as specified in the certificate. Brand, warranty and cycle count do not guarantee AFM eligibility; we assess every project.

Is Casa Verde Baterii 2026 open for applications?+

The final guide has been published: Order No. 1,904/2026, Official Gazette No. 775 of 14 September 2026. AFM sets and announces the application timetable; publication of the guide does not mean applications are open. Nectaria's form is for preliminary contact only.

Who can receive funding?+

Under the final guide, an individual must have prosumer status: an existing grid-connected PV system with a prosumer contract for that consumption point. All programme conditions must also be met.

Which counties do you accept preliminary enquiries from?+

We accept preliminary enquiries exclusively for projects in Alba, Cluj and Hunedoara counties. Nectaria's form is not an official AFM application and does not guarantee funding.

How are projects scored?+

Up to 50 points for the own contribution: 30 × contribution / AFM funding; up to 50 for storage: 2.5 × kWh. PV capacity does not earn points. At 20 kWh, only the storage score reaches its cap.

Does application order matter?+

Projects are selected by descending score within the available budget. Ties are resolved in order by own contribution, storage capacity, then the date and time of submission in the AFM application. Contacting Nectaria does not reserve priority.

Which batteries are eligible?+

A storage system must have at least 10 kWh capacity and use lead-free technology (Li-Ion, LiFePO4, Na-Ion or equivalent). Lead-acid batteries are ineligible. The system must be new and compatible, with at least a five-year warranty, 5,000 cycles and a BMS, as required by Article 16. Automatic charging from surplus PV generation and component certification must also be checked.

Can installation start before approval?+

Not if you intend to claim funding. Under the final guide, only expenditure incurred after funding approval is eligible, and installation must be carried out by an AFM-validated installer meeting the guide's ANRE requirements. You can prepare the documents and system design in advance.
