Understanding warranties

For panels, the product warranty covers defects and the performance warranty concerns retained power; bifacial module figures refer to the front side. For batteries, both the term and the energy throughput and remaining-capacity limits matter. Datasheet cycle life does not represent years of warranty.

The exact terms are those in the offered model's certificate, in the version applicable at purchase. The manufacturer's installation, registration and connection requirements must be met.

Nectaria's offer for selected equipment

As part of Nectaria's standard offer: a 10-year warranty on selected Hinen, Deye and Solis inverters and Hinen, Deye and Dyness batteries, per the warranty certificate of the delivered model. Installation, connection and operating conditions, together with performance limits, must be checked in the certificate.

Declared technical cycle life: Hinen B8900M-HA — 8,000 cycles; Deye SE-G5.1 Pro-B — ≥6,000; Dyness PowerBrick 14.336 kWh — ≥8,000. These figures depend on the model and test conditions; they are not a cycle count guaranteed by the 10-year warranty.

Quality extends beyond the panels

Materials that connect the whole system

Cables, contacts, protection and mounting deserve the same attention as panels and inverters. Here is what we use and why it matters.

01 · DC cabling

Premium 6 mm² solar cable

We use 6 mm² solar cable for DC runs where appropriate. With the same material, length and current, a larger conductor reduces resistance and losses compared with 4 mm².

Final sizing is calculated for each circuit: current, length, voltage drop and installation conditions. Cable runs are secured and protected for their exposure and mechanical loads.

02 · Electrical connections

Original Stäubli MC4 connectors

Reliable contact matters at every connection. Correct crimping with suitable tools and manufacturer-approved mating pairs helps avoid excessive contact resistance, heating and arcing.

We use original connector pairs with documented compatibility. An “MC4-compatible” label on another brand's connector does not establish that the pairing is suitable.

03 · Protection and isolation

Protection panels with components from established brands

We build protection boards with identifiable, documented components from established brands. We avoid unbranded equipment from outside the EU; manufacturing origin is checked for the selected product.

AC/DC circuit protection, surge protective devices (SPDs) and isolators are selected for the project. Together with correct installation and testing, they reduce electrical risks without eliminating them entirely.

04 · Durable mounting

Mounting structures suited to the site

Roofs: aluminium structures manufactured in Poland. Ground installations: galvanised steel structures manufactured in Poland or Romania, selected for the ground conditions and design loads.

For residential ground mounting, we design solutions without concrete where the ground and project allow. Fixings and anchoring depend on the supporting surface, wind and snow loads.

How it works

From sunlight to electricity used in your building

Panels produce direct current, the inverter converts it into usable electricity, and loads use the available generation first. Surplus can be stored or exported to the grid, depending on the configuration.

01

Solar panels

Convert sunlight into direct current. We compare efficiency, output, dimensions, cell technology and warranties.

02

Inverter

Converts electricity into alternating current and controls the system. Selection depends on phases, power, orientations, battery storage and backup requirements.

03

Mounting and protection

Fixings, cables and DC/AC protection are essential for safety, durability and future maintenance.

04

Battery and monitoring

Storage shifts some daytime generation to the evening. Monitoring shows generation, consumption, grid imports and equipment status.

Home with a turnkey PV system
3 kW, 5 kW or 10 kW?

The right capacity starts with reliable data

The examples below are indicative. Two properties with the same annual consumption can achieve different results if one uses electricity during the day and the other mainly in the evening.

3 kW

Lower consumption or limited space

A possible starting point for a home with moderate consumption. Suitability is checked against bills, the grid connection and roof orientation.

5–6 kW

A home with more electrical loads

A common configuration where there is air conditioning, an electric water heater, plans for an electric car or higher annual consumption.

8–10 kW

High consumption or an electrified home

Requires careful checks of connection capacity, available space and daytime consumption. More capacity does not automatically mean greater savings.

Choosing the right system

Six questions before a quotation

1

How much electricity do you use each year?

We use bills or meter data, not just one month's figure.

2

When do you use electricity?

Self-consumption differs between a home that is empty during the day and an active business.

3

How much space is available?

We measure usable space, allowing for chimneys, windows, edges and shading.

4

What grid connection do you have?

We check single-phase or three-phase supply, approved capacity and the electrical board.

5

Which loads will you add?

A heat pump, electric car, water heater or air conditioning can change the sizing requirements.

6

What will the battery do?

Reducing evening grid imports and providing backup are different objectives, with different solutions.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about solar panels

Clear answers on capacity, generation, batteries, installation and prosumer status.

Which inverter and battery brands does Nectaria offer?+

Our main inverter brands are Hinen, Deye, Solis and Solplanet. We select the model based on the grid connection, PV array power, compatible battery and required backup functions. Our storage options include Hinen, Deye and Dyness. Depending on the project, our full portfolio also includes Fronius, Huawei, Victron, BYD and Solplanet batteries.

What warranty does Nectaria offer on inverters and batteries?+

As part of Nectaria's standard offer: a 10-year warranty on selected Hinen, Deye and Solis inverters and Hinen, Deye and Dyness batteries, per the warranty certificate of the delivered model. Installation, connection and operating conditions, together with performance limits, must be checked in the certificate. For Solplanet, the term is confirmed in the offer and certificate for the selected model.

What do Tier 1 and 3rd place mean for Solis?+

Solis is included in BloombergNEF's Tier 1 list, according to the manufacturer's Q1 2025 announcement. Globally, Solis ranked 3rd by PV inverter shipments in 2024, according to Wood Mackenzie's market share report. Third place refers to 2024 shipments, not a general quality ranking or all subsequent rankings.

Does the 10-year warranty automatically cover the stated battery cycle count?+

Declared technical cycle life: Hinen B8900M-HA — 8,000 cycles; Deye SE-G5.1 Pro-B — ≥6,000; Dyness PowerBrick 14.336 kWh — ≥8,000. These figures depend on the model and test conditions; they are not a cycle count guaranteed by the 10-year warranty. The performance warranty may have total energy throughput and remaining-capacity limits, as specified in the certificate. Brand, warranty and cycle count do not guarantee AFM eligibility; we assess every project.

How many solar panels does a house need?+

The number depends on the required system capacity and each module's output. The total capacity should be sized for consumption, available space, orientation, grid connection and estimated generation, rather than a universal rule.

What is the difference between solar thermal and photovoltaic panels?+

Photovoltaic panels generate electricity. Solar thermal panels heat a fluid, usually for hot water. They are different technologies, although both are sometimes called solar panels.

Does a 5 kW system produce 5 kW all the time?+

No. The 5 kW figure describes installed capacity under standard conditions. Instantaneous output varies with the season, time, clouds, temperature, orientation and shading. We use annual estimates and the consumption profile to inform the decision.

Is it worth adding a battery?+

A battery can increase self-consumption and provide backup for selected circuits. Value and suitable capacity depend on evening consumption, the gap between generation and demand, tariffs and your energy independence objectives.

Can I become a prosumer after installation?+

Yes, with a grid-connected system that meets the applicable requirements. The process includes technical documentation and stages managed with the distribution operator and electricity supplier.

How long does installation take?+

The work depends on capacity, roof, access, cable routes and electrical complexity. The full schedule also includes assessment, design, procurement, any preparatory work and grid connection documentation.
