Romania BESS programme · core solution
Large-scale battery energy storage
Nectaria aims to develop a programme of 25 BESS projects in Romania. The planned standard configuration for each project is 10 MWh storage capacity / 5 MW target export power, with a nominal duration of two hours.
Nectaria is seeking investors and strategic partners. Route 1 is a co-investment and co-development partnership, with contributions and structure agreed bilaterally after qualification. Route 2 involves Nectaria developing and delivering a project for a client who fully funds the investment on a suitable site of their own. Site suitability and final 5 MW export capacity depend on site and grid studies, technical connection approval (ATR) and applicable approvals.

Questions before the first calculation

How long does it take to recover the cost of solar panels?+
Payback depends on consumption, electricity prices, system size, installed cost and any applicable support. It requires a project-specific estimate and is not guaranteed.
Is my home suitable for solar panels?+
Many homes can use solar panels. Roof orientation, pitch and shading from trees or structures all matter. An on-site assessment can establish suitability.
What happens on cloudy days or in winter?+
Panels can generate electricity in cloudy weather, usually at a lower level. Winter generation is reduced by shorter days and the sun's lower angle. We assess seasonal conditions when sizing the system.
Do solar panels need maintenance?+
Usually relatively little. We recommend periodic inspection and cleaning where needed; the appropriate schedule depends on the site and equipment.
Can I become fully independent of the grid?+
An off-grid system may be possible with suitable generation, storage and backup design. It depends on your consumption and site conditions; we help assess whether it is viable.
